Box Top for Education You can make a difference for our school every time you shop for groceries! Just clip the Box Tops coupons from hundreds of your favorite products and send them to school. Each box top is worth 10 cents, but from time to time double box tops are offered on the boxes as well. We can earn up to $20,000 if we all participate and we can use that on anything from computers and books to equipment! Last year we earned $876.00 - thanks for your support! Anything you can do to help increase this would be greatly appreciated! For more information go to http://www.boxtops4education.com/ Tyson Labels We have an exciting opportunity to share with you. We are taking part in a national fundraising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. called Tyson Project A+™. Through this program, we can raise as much as $12,000 for our school this year! The money we raise can go towards buying books, computers, making improvements to our buildings, or anything else that we want. All you have to do is clip and save the entire Project A+ label from participating Tyson products. Each label we collect is worth 24¢ for our school! Campbell's Soup Labels For more than 30 years, Labels for Education™ has been awarding free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands. It's a fun, easy program where students, families and members of the community work together for a common goal. Again, for fun, St. Christina is having its competition. When you submit your labels in an envelope or baggie, please put YOUR CHILD'S NAME AND ROOM NUMBER* on the front. Their name will then be entered into a monthly drawing. Two names will be randomly drawn within the month and two prizes will be awarded from October to April. * Please remember: When your child brings in the labels, etc., they are ALL put into the Campbell's bins located in the hallway of the school. Unless your child's name is on there, we have no way of knowing from whom or which classroom they came from. If your child's name is not visible they cannot be entered into the drawing. Ink Jet cartridges Cartridges for Kids is a recycling program that pays schools and non for profit organizations CASH for empty laser and ink jet cartridges, used cell phones, laptops, PDA and iPods. Cartridges can be left with the school office. Nancy Wawrzyniak boxes the items and mails them to the company monthly. Every cartridge helps so don't throw it away - bring it to school! If your office does not recycle in this way and you would like to help out let Nancy know. She can provide you with boxes and labels all you would need to do is box the used cartridges at your office and ship it out. St. Christina would receive the cash! Paper Recycling Abitibi Bowater recycles paper and manufactures newspapers. The company offers a free paper recycling program that, on top of teaching environmental stewardship, raises funds for our school. Please place all of your newspapers, magazines, catalogs, mail, books (hard covers removed) and office papers in the conveniently located bins on 111th and Christiana. The school then receives a monthly check according to the tonnage collected. Market Day Market Day is a way you can purchase high quality foods monthly. You can order on line or by filling out a form and returning to school. The products are delivered on the fourth Thursday of every month for you to pick up at the school. Order on line at www.marketday.com. You can search for our school under St. Christina or our school code is 3499. When shopping at Sara Lee outlets please let them know you are with St. Christina because they will add that credit to our account! This is a fundraiser to our school and this program averages about $600 a month in profits. Our goal this year is to increase that to $1000 with everyone's participation. 10% of your order can be used as a tax write-off. Manna Gift Certificates The St. Christina Manna program is a program in which you buy gift certificates/cards for participating vendors (listing attached) for face value and in return you or someone you designate, receive a tuition credit. St. Christina School also receives a credit on each purchase. When you participate in Manna - two parties benefit - you earn a tuition credit and St. Christina School earns money also, which helps keep tuition costs down. Families who participate in Manna have saved over $500 a year in tuition costs. You participate as much or as little as you want, there are no contracts, no minimums, just a little planning on your part to buy Manna before shopping! Currently manna orders can be sent through school or dropped off at the rectory. The envelope should be marked MANNA and payment should be included. These orders will be filled and can be picked up during manna hours. Manna is available at the rectory on Thursday morning from 9:00-10:00 AM. Manna is also available in the evening on Wednesday from 5:30-6:30. If you would like the order sent home thru school please mark on the order form your child's name and room number. A list of stores that participate is on the school website and will be sent home weekly with the school newsletter. Each store has a predetermined percentage that they will give to the school. The manna order sheet list the percentage that you will receive for tuition credit. This credit is to be taken in August when paying tuition. Beginning with orders placed July 1st, 2009, and continuing with orders placed through June 30, 2010. A percentage of your total orders will be accumulated and applied toward your August 2010 tuition payment. Orders placed July 1st and later will be applied to the following year tuition credit. If your credit exceeds the amount of your August tuition, the rest will be applied to your September tuition payment. You will need to plan the first time you purchase your manna cards. Determine what stores you go to monthly or even weekly, who you give gift cards to for gifts and/or are purchasing a gift for, and any entertainment you may do with your family this month. Approximate how much you will spend at each of these locations and bring your list and pick up gift cards in that dollar amount. The gift cards will now be used to pay for that merchandise which allows you to get credit off of your tuition. Target redCARD Every time you use your Target card they give back 1% to St. Christina. As of March 2009 Target has given St. Christina $14,114.59 back. We currently have 90 families who use a Red CARD. Dominick's escript When you use your Dominick's card and have preregistered it with escript, e script will give St. Christina 4% of your total purchase.
